Best Buy | @15 – Web Design

Best Buy developed @15 to give teens a voice on issues relevant to their lives and communities. In exchange for participating in forums, contests, and games, teen members on at15.com receive points. They can use these points to vote for their favorite charities to receive part of a $1 million donation from Best Buy. Members can also apply for scholarships, or nominate their schools to receive Best Buy gift cards for up to $1,500, awarded every 15 days.

I was the lead designer on this project, and also contributed various illustrations used throughout the site. I also worked on related promotional collateral, such as posters, trade show graphics, AMC Theaters popcorn bags, and laptop skins.

at15.com was an Official Honoree for the Charitable Organizations/Non-Profit category in the 14th Annual Webby Awards.

The Labor Day Extravaganza

Every year I'm fortunate enough to design a visual theme for this epic labor day party out in the middle of the woods in Sodus, NY. There's beer, there's bands, and there's badminton. For the past five years tee shirts, cups, and a loop animation are made to support the theme.

Sustainable Energy Developments - Branding

SED, a wind energy company with offices in New York and Massachusetts, needed a more consistent design and communication strategy. The project included a logo refresh, letterhead, identity guidelines, icons representing the different sectors of their business, a tradeshow booth, and company document templates.

Threadless – Social Media Promotion

An idea was hatched between my good friend Colleen (copywriter & editor in chief at Threadless) and I to promote upcoming Tron-inspired shirts and hoodies with a puzzle entirely unveiled via Twitter (@solarsailor). Images were pieced together, promo codes were cracked, and the garment was sold out — multiple times.

Larsen – Emerging Designers Video

Produced for AIGA Minnesota's Emerging Designers website. The video includes advice for folks new to the design profession from various "Larsenites". I shot and edited this little video with my friend and coworker Ryan Bridge.
